Fabulous result for RGC on Saturday as they clinched promotion to the SWALEC Premiership with a 19-7 victory in South Wales against Glynneath. RGC finished in fourth place and therefore achieved the feat of being the first ever North Wales team to get to the Premiership. RGC put in a superb first half performance and took control through a Tiann Loots try with further tries from James Lang and Afon Bagshaw with two conversions from Lang. The second half saw Glynneath pull 7 points back but RGC held on comfortably to secure that much wanted promotion.
In football and in the Welsh Alliance Division One Llanrwst won 1-0 at Gwalchmai with a Ciran Jones goal. In Division Two Mochdre Sports lost 4-1 at Amlwch Townwhilst Penmaenmawr Phoenix slipped up 6-3 at Mynydd Llandegai.
The Vale of Clwyd League Premier Cup saw a shock as Llandudno Albion lost 2-1 to Rhyl Town.
