Flag to proudly fly in Conwy marking Armed Forces Day

A special flag will be raised tomorrow in Conwy to mark the day giving thanks to those who have worked to keep our country safe and in many cases, have given their lives in the process.

Tomorrow is Armed Forces Day and Conwy County Borough Council is raising the Armed Forces Day outside its headquarters.

Cllr Liz Roberts, Conwy County Borough Council’s Armed Forces Champion said, “I’m honoured to raise this flag outside Conwy County Borough Council’s Bodlondeb offices to show our support for our Armed Forces, including the many reservists.

“Armed Forces Day is an opportunity for communities to show their support for the men and women of the United Kingdom’s Armed Forces and to highlight the significant contribution former service personnel continue to make in all our communities.”

Major Jeff Moses, a reservist with 3 Royal Welsh and local Police Officer with North Wales Police, said, “Conwy County Borough Council works very closely with 3 Royal Welsh in support of the Armed Forces and Veterans communities.”
