LANCS DOMINATE DAY 2 AT RHOS WITH RECORD STAND!

A stand of 501 for the third wicket between Alviro Petersen and Ashwell Prince put Lancashire in a strong position at the end of day 2 in the LV County Championship at Colwyn Bay. Petersen made 286 and Prince 261 in an all time Lancashire wicket stand record as Lancs piled on the runs. Skipper Steve Croft made a quick fire 57 as Lancs finally declared on 698-5. Glamorgan started badly as Glen Chapple dismissed skipper Rudolph for 32, Ingram for 0 and Cooke for 5. James Faulkner had Bragg lbw for 25 and before stumps Lloyd and Meschede were out. Glamorgan wicketkeeper Mark Wallace put up some resistance and at stumps was still there on 39 with Wagg 7 not out. Glamorgan finished on 165-6 still 533 runs behind!
