Overnight rain delayed the start of the final day at Colwyn Bay. The teams took lunch early then play resumed in overcast conditions and light rain. After a solid enough start Chris Cooke was caught at the second attempt by Paul Horton off the bowling of James Faulkner for 56 with the score at 181 -6. Craig Meschede and Graeme Wagg both followed for ducks with the score still at 181. Andrew Salter was lbw to Simon Kerrigan for a patient 34 whilst Michael Hogan was caught by Kyle Jarvis off the bowling of Kerrigan for 6 and Glamorgan were all out for 193. Spinners Kerrigan and Lilley taking 7 wickets between them. Lancashire therefore won by an innings and 157 runs.
The winning of the toss had proved crucial as Alviro Petersen and Ashwell Prince had their record breaking third wicket partnership of 501!! Glamorgan never recovered from this and on a flat pitch struggled to make any impact.
Lancashire leave North Wales victorious and another giant stride taken to achieve promotion back to Division One of the LV County Championship.
